Everything your auditor is going to ask for, already on this page.
Miles has been certified, re-certified, and audited every year since 1996. The current certificates are below with their dates. If your approval process needs something that is not here, one email gets it.
“We put Miles through the same supplier audit we run on everyone. It was the shortest one we did that year.”— Quality manager, surface finishing customer, Orange County (named on request)
Every certificate, registration, and permit, with what it covers and where to get the PDF.
Certified quality management system covering blending, distribution, and laboratory services. Documented procedures, controlled documents, traceable batch records, calibrated instruments, and a corrective action process examined by an external auditor.
The chemical distribution industry's management-system standard: supplier and carrier selection, product stewardship, storage and segregation, transportation safety, training, emergency response, and community awareness.
Membership requires Responsible Distribution compliance and is verified on a recurring cycle. The association operated as NACD until 2024; older documents may carry either name.
EPA identification numbers for both facilities, DTSC hazardous waste transporter registration, and the facility permits and CUPA authorisations that go with them.
DOT hazardous materials registration with hazmat carrier authority. Driver endorsements are maintained and verified rather than assumed.
Ask once, get the whole package
Most customers have their own questionnaire, and most of them ask for roughly the same forty things in a different order. Send yours and we will complete it — properly, with the inconvenient answers left in.
Certificates, registrations, insurance, W-9, quality policy. Held current and sent as one package rather than one at a time.
Completed by someone who knows the answers rather than someone guessing. If a question does not apply we say so rather than leaving it blank.
Both facilities. Several customers audit us annually and we have never declined one. Bring your checklist.
Certificates expire. Ours can chase themselves.
We can flag your account to receive updated documents automatically whenever a certificate is reissued, so your supplier file stays current without anyone remembering to ask. Request it when you first ask for the package.
What a certificate means on the shop floor, rather than on the wall.
A certificate is a claim about process
ISO 9001:2015 does not certify that our products are good. It certifies that we run a documented system for making sure they are — and that an external auditor has examined that system rather than taken our word for it.
The distinction matters when something goes wrong, because over enough years it will. The useful measure is not whether a problem occurred but whether it was caught, recorded, corrected, and prevented from recurring — with evidence at each step.
What you can actually verify
- Every blended batch has a specification and a result. Ask for the Certificate of Analysis for any lot you have received.
- Lot traceability is real. Give us a lot number from a container label and we can tell you when it was made, what it was released against, and what else came from that batch.
- Non-conformances are recorded, not absorbed. An audit will find them in the system, which is the point of having one.
- Training is documented per person, per task. Nobody is assigned work they are not qualified to perform.
What a certificate does not tell you
It says nothing about price, about whether we are a good fit for your specific process, or about how we behave when a delivery goes wrong at four on a Friday. Those are things a reference call answers and a certificate does not.
We are happy to give you references, including from customers who have had a problem with us and stayed. Those are usually the more useful conversation.
